Cubism Reflection

1) How did you determine what subject to use for this project?

I thought about which subjects would be interesting in a cubist format, and my fish tank was one of my ideas. Additionally, convenience played a role, as it was easy to take pictures of a stationary tank with smaller subjects moving within.

2) How many photographs did you take for this project?

24 Photos

3) What challenges did you encounter when doing this project?

I encountered challenges with the lighting in particular. The fish tank was in a position such that it reflected a lot of light from the living room windows. I had a tough time working around that, and just decided to paste over the issues with other photos I took, which gave the tank a much more amorphous look.

4) Given the opportunity to do this project over, what would you do differently the 2nd time around?

If I got the opportunity to do this project over, I would set up some sort of lighting so that all the photos have the same or similar light source. Compositing was a bit tricky due to the different lighting in some of the photos, and I had to not use some of them because of that.
